Runway Work Beginning in Spring of 2012
COLUMBIA — Columbia Regional Airport runways are scheduled for a $28.5 million makeover starting next spring, thanks to a Federal Aviation Administration grant the city will likely accept in mid-September. Highway 63 airport interchange project is under way
                               
Construction of a diamond interchange at Highway 63 and Route H near Columbia Regional Airport is under way.  Highway-H is now closed for improvements and resurfacing.. 
 
 
Airport South-Entrance Repair
                                      
In addition to the overpass being built at Route-H there are also improvements planned  to Angel Lane, the unofficial south entrance to the airport.
                           
These repairs are a welcome improvement to the Service Road for Ashland Industrial Park which is located on the north side of Angel Lane and approximately 200 yards east of Hwy-63, illustrated on map below.
